Ocean Spray 1.0 (no BETA)
Posted by Alex Ianta on Mar 15, 2010 in Mailpress Themes, The Lab • 9 commentsWell, I have been working hard to make this theme more then a sad excuse of color in you inbox. I think I was successful. I have added a few more feature and fixed some compatibility issues. Any way here is the official stuff:
New Features:
- Latest Posts Sidebar
- updated graphics(minor stuff, some colors weren’t in the right place, etc.)
- compatibility fixes for smaller screens
The theme is best viewed if you use it through some sort of mail client such as thunderbird. Although it works fine in web based browsers (I have tested it in Gmail an Hotmail) some of the graphics are missing (specifically the background and title to the sidebar). This will probably be fixed in 1.1.
Known issues:
-slight graphic removal in web based inboxes
-no screenshot in theme selection
And that is pretty much it.I know the color scheme is very artificial. But as mentioned in one of my previous posts, once I get this theme completely and full compatible with everything I will create different variations with different color schemes. They will probably be more on the professional side rather than screaming colors such as this one.
And now finally for the download link: OceanSpray 1.0.1 (patch included as of March 21, 2010)
As before this will be a free theme all I ask in return is that you keep the link in the footer intact. Also if you wish to support the development of future themes or you like this theme please feel free to donate using the button below.

Thank you Alex!
I needed several themes for Mailpress and this one is the best to start with. When do you think the next ones will come?
Expect the next ones to arrive within the next few months.
Can’t unzip the file. Plese sent it via mail! THX
Hi,
just downloaded the zip, it can’t be opened, error
regards
Joe
Fixed now, it appears it was an uploading error.
nice work!
some hints:
- if this is no BETA, pls correct the Version in style.css
- for the dummy’s don’t use a doted version as dir-name. With the doted dir no template is selectable in the test-settings of mailpress.
screenshot in theme selection is working in my install.
best regards
Stefan
Thanks, I’m glad you liked it!
I fixed the CSS thing, along with the “.” in the folder.
Hi,
just installed your new theme, worked good so far until I sent a mail to myself usung the test feature in mail press, all the links in the m,ail, point to my index page ………..
regards
Joe
Strange, the code placed there is used to grab your first 7 posts and put links to them. Do you have only one post?
If so I can make you a special modification so it will only show one link.
