IPad Sales 2 Million

Apple recently reported on its twitter feed that it has reached 2 million IPad sales since it’s release on April 3, 2010 (in the US). How they did this, I have absolutely no idea. When I look at the IPad I see a bigger IPod Touch, that isn’t as portable. It is still missing a camera, has no phone functionality, and costs roughly twice as much. The only reason that I can see why people are buying this, is because it looks cool. That’s it, and while I admit being “in-style” is a good thing, functionality and getting what you pay for is in my opinion even more important. I have yet to buy an IPad, I don’t think I’ll even consider it until Apple drops the price a notch.

I am way hyped on the other hand for the HP Slate, which at a more affordable $549,  comes with a better processor, a webcam, SD/HDMI/USB/ and of course power ports, and to top it off , it has support for bluetooth, 3G, and wi-fi. Granted it may not have the truly massive amount of apps that the IPad will have, but lets face it, this is a much more feature packed product. I am in fact looking to see when it comes out in June, I would love to get one.  Also, look for a review for this one at one point.
